Alimentary-dependent diseases are a group of pathologies whose development is associated with the nutritional habits of the population. A wide range of organic foods can significantly contribute to the prevention of such diseases due to their composition and properties. This article explores the potential mechanisms by which a shift to an organic diet can help prevent nutritional diseases. Key aspects include reducing xenobiotic exposure, altering the nutritional profile of food, impacting the microbiome, and overall reducing the consumption of ultra-processed foods. It is concluded that an organic diet is a multifactorial strategy for reducing risks.
