The Bible translation project into modern Buryat language

The review presents the translation of the Bible into modern Buryat. The review is considered a text that is universal in terms of its target audience, adapted to the norms of contemporary Buryat language at the levels of vocabulary, syntax, stylistics, and linguocultural aspects. The review describes the translation, concluding that the Bible text creates a positive impression due to the adequacy of the translation, which is combined with accessibility, consistency of terminology and formatting, and stylistic adaptation. The translators successfully addressed the complex tasks set before them. A complete translation of the Bible into modern Buryat has been created, which is clear and engaging not only for the expert community but also for what is commonly referred to as the “general reader”.
