Elaboration of information training of trade specialists

The paper covers the competence-based management of information training of trade specialist. The modern information society is characterized by the introduction of information technologies in all sectors of activity, the increase of threats to the security and the growth of cyber-terrorism. Traditional information training does not take into account the above-mentioned differences, so at present employers are not satisfied with its quality. The external environment affects the information training in educational institution - the expectations of employers for the staff meeting the requirements of the modern information society, the transition to distance learning and a tiered system of higher education. In this context the role of high-quality information training of specialists involving the effective use of information technology in professional activities and minimization of threats to its security is increasing. The introduction of the educational standards based on the competence approach and being a national regulation controlling the quality of education, increases the opportunities for the development and implementation of new models of competence-oriented management of information training of specialists. The competence-based approach to information training leads to a renewal of the content of the educational process and its adaptation to real conditions. A modern specialist should have the ability to make unconventional decisions and take responsibility for them, to be competitive and be able to plan his/her professional development. However, the insufficient traditional information training does not enable graduates of Russian educational institutions to develop and adapt to the conditions of life in the modern society. Examples of the disciplines content for information training of graduates of secondary vocational and higher education in the field of trade are given.
