Designing the content of educational programs on event tourism technologies

The paper reveals the specific characteristics of the labor functions of event tourism managers, identifies the basic principles for the training of profile specialists and alternative forms of their training: a module as part of the basic professional educational program of higher education, a program of additional professional education. The presence of the formed knowledge and skills in the field of project management (students in the areas of training “Tourism” and “Socio-cultural activity”) is determined as an “input” requirement for module/program training. The general content of the knowledge component of the educational program is differentiated depending on the basic education of students; as a result of educational activities, the competence of project management in event tourism is defined. A model of the content of the educational program is presented, including the goal, structure, theoretical and practical components, didactic components. The conclusions of the work are based on an extensive analytical study, including a review of foreign experience. The paper may be of interest to developers of the main educational programs in the field of tourism and socio-cultural activities.
