To ensure the efficiency of the use of machine and tractor population of agricultural enterprises it is necessary to maintain continuous uptime of equipment, tractors in particular, that are used in machine and tractor aggregates (MTA). However, due to the increased load on the tractor, hectares of cultivated area and real conditions of operation maintenance and repair (MR), particularly MR-1, of tractors during the harvesting is practically not carried out. This in its turn leads to downtime while elimination of faults. In the context of absence of service engineers and understaffed maintenance and repair departments of agricultural enterprises, one of the solutions to the problem of maintenance of operability of tractors is to change the frequency of MR-1, which is 125 hours. Another solution to the problem is to conduct some operations of a regular MR by shifts or at a later period of time dedicated to natural technological break in the work of MTA. In addition, it is possible not to carry out some stages of a current MR-1, but to conduct them during the next one. It is also possible to time the implementation of these operations to a monthly maintenance and repair. The engineer can perform the increased volume of work while maintenance and repair every shift by increasing the duration of the working day insignificantly. Reducing the duration of downtime of the tractor during the increased maintenance and repair every shift without any reduction of the quality of maintenance and repair is possible only by means of diagnosis. For aggregates and components of the tractor with the increased frequency of service it is necessary to develop and use additional means of permanent control of technical condition.
