The article considers the main stages of project-based learning formed during long pedagogical history, as well as modern approaches and possibilities of its application in everyday practice. The author pays special attention to the principles of using this teaching method on the example of interaction between teachers and students majoring in «Sound directing of cultural and mass performances and holidays» while training at the higher creative educational institution.
