Professional Deformation of Teachers at the Training Center of the Military Unit

Introduction. The objective is to reveal the features of professional deformation of teachers at the training centre of a military unit. Маterials and Methods. An empirical study was carried out on the basis of the training centre of personnel of the National Guard Troops Federal Service of the Russian Federation in Omsk and the Cossack Cadet Boarding School named after Marshal of the Soviet Union D. T. Yazov. The respondents included 39 people aged 28–47: 20 military unit teachers (military officers on contract as teachers) and 19 teachers of the Cadet Boarding School. The following methods were used: E. F. Zeer and A. M. Pavlova «Assessment of teachers’ professional deformations» method; S. P. Andreev and V. E. Orel «Diagnostics of professional deformation of the teacher’s personality» and method «Diagnostics of the level of emotional burnout» developed by V. V. Boyko. Results and Discussion. A comparative analysis of the features of professional deformation of teachers at the training centre of a military unit and teachers of the cadet boarding school was carried out. The influence of professional deformation on different spheres of the personality of the teacher is described. The paper describes the conditions of professional-pedagogical activity of teachers at the training centre of the military unit, which contribute to the occurrence of professional deformation. Conclusions. Specific conditions of military educational environment contribute to the development of professional deformation and emotional burnout syndrome of teachers of the training centre of a military unit, creating difficulties in professional-pedagogical communication. The intensiveness of professional deformation was revealed in the teachers of the training centre of the military unit with predominance of such manifestations as authoritarianism and dominance.
