Professional orientation and quality of higher education

In the article various criteria of quality of higher education are compared. It is proved that there is an invariant constituent, the «source» of the quality of higher education, that is professional orientation of university students enrolled into the 1st year degree university program. From this point of view the local system of vocational education created on the basis of MADI (GTU), methods of motivation of high school pupils and the results of this process are analyzed
