The activity of a mentor in the workplace in the conditions of the Professional training program contains pedagogical labor functions and is characterized as professionally pedagogical. The effectiveness of the mentor’s interaction with students in solving the tasks of the educational process within the framework of industrial practice largely depends on the completeness of taking into account the peculiarities of their personal and professional development at this age period (early adolescence). These circumstances indicate the need for professional and pedagogical training of specialists involved in mentoring activities from production, taking into account the formation of their industry competence. At the same time, the prospects of using an online course in such training are shown as an up-to-date and appropriate training format that will help mentors in the workplace within the framework of the Professional training program «Professionalism» to form peda-gogical competence and successfully implement the educational process.
