The professional development of a university teacher is a certain process of continuous learning, including the study of the course program, integrated practice, expert guidance, technical training, cooperation, information exchange, etc. The teacher must have not only basic knowledge, but also continue learning using new information technologies, in this case, the use of digitalization in the process of training or advanced training will be relevant. The article presents the results of a study of the practice of advanced training of university teachers in the context of digitalization of education, conducted in order to identify the features of advanced training for teachers and the main conceptual ideas implemented in different countries.
