The problem of professional self-determination of schoolchildren is becoming more and more relevant today, as the world of the profession is becoming more dynamic and variable, and the modern student needs to meet the requirements of a rapidly developing and changing professional environment. Based on the analysis of scientific literature, effective and modern forms of work in the field of professional self-determination of schoolchildren were identified: a mobile career guidance room, a system for diagnosing personal abilities and professional intentions of schoolchildren, the development of an informationand methodological resource based on a school website, the creation of a career guidance model, professional tests, lessons excursions, professional olympiads, project activities of a professional orientation. During the review of scientific literature, mistakes and difficulties were identified that schoolchildren face in the process of professional self-determination. The article describes the experience of work on the professional self-determination of schoolchildren, which is being implemented in the Chelyabinsk regio,.
