Occupational safety hazards assessments indicate the level of social well-being and the possibilities of social adaptation of a professional group. The aim of the present article is to educe the relevance degree of occupational safety hazards for medical professionals in the Rostov region. The empirical basis of the study was the survey results of medical professionals in the region, differentiated by a number of parameters: gender, age, type of settlement, position, the fact of working in the “red” zone. The results of the study show that the relevance of occupational safety hazards varies considerably among different groups of medical professionals. The most vulnerable were the new employees and physicians of the group over 60 years old; the medical professionals working in the regional center; and the medical professionals of the “red” zone. Thus, in a complex epidemiological situation, the differentiation in assessments of occupational hazards indicates a different level of social well-being of medical professionals and unequal opportunities for their social adaptation. This must be factored into the development of measures of institutional funding for medical professionals.
