Professional demonstration exam in the system of continuous education of a teacher: practice of implementation

The article considers the problem of determining the place of professional (demonstration) examination in the system of continuous education of a teacher. The article describes the practice of holding a demonstration exam within the framework of higher pedagogical education using the example of the South Ural State Humanitarian and Pedagogical University, and presents a systemic vision of the development of professional education based on the experience of demonstration exams. The role of a demo exam in the system of training future teachers and its importance for building a career growth trajectory, forming professional and general professional competencies are revealed. Organizational proposals for the implementation of the independent certification procedure are formulated based on the results of the survey of demo exam participants, observations of the demo exams and taking into account the formation of professional and general professional competencies at the stage of career development of a future teacher. The paper presents sociological material that shows the ratio of the need for specialists in academic subjects in schools of the Chelyabinsk region and the number of graduates of a pedagogical university. The authors analyzed the potential of a demonstration exam according to the following scheme: independent assessment procedure; formation of professional and general professional competencies in future teachers, development of practical skills; assessment of readiness for the modern labor market. Students participating in the demonstration exam took part in a survey, the results of which showed that demonstration exams are necessary in the process of training future teachers; the procedure of demonstration exams is independent and objective; the demonstration exam allows you to check the level of training of the student; the participant of the demo exam (the person being certified) needs feedback from experts. Positive responses varied in the range of 85-94 %. Based on the results of the survey of participants, organizational proposals for the implementation of the procedure of professional (demonstration) exam were formulated.
