Crime prevention in the sphere of illicit arms trafficking

The article analyzes scientific approaches to the concept of illicit trafficking in weapons and ammunition, highlights the stages of illicit arms trafficking and their content. The objects and goals of preventing illicit arms trafficking at the stages of entry, «life cycle» and exit from illicit arms trafficking are formulated. The objects of prevention of illicit arms trafficking are considered. The article substantiates the preventive measures of illicit arms trafficking implemented in the process of early prevention and secondary prevention of criminological recidivism of illicit arms trafficking. The characteristics of special police, operational search, administrative and legal measures, as well as criminal law enforcement in the process of preventing illicit arms trafficking are considered.
