Predictive value of blood eosinophils and lymphocytes in the treatment of the urological infections

This article is devoted to the prognostic method, which can show, whether if the urological infection will have a lethal or favorable outcome. The prognosis is possible after the implementation of the indirect electrochemical blood oxidation using 0.06% solution of the sodium hypochlorite. Sodium hypochlorite is a substance, which influences specifically the protective and adaptive mechanisms of the human body, showing anti-stress effect and weakening the response of the inherent immunity factors. As the stress markers were used the absolute count of the eosinophiles and lymphocytes. Lymphocytes are also the marker, which helps to estimate the function of the acquired adaptive immunity. We have analyzed 36 cases of acute pyelonephritis in the urological clinic. In the complex treatment of the acute pyelonephritis the indirect oxidation using sodium hypochlorite 0.06% was also included. All patients were divided between 2 groups. First group included 32 patients (13 male and 19 female patients). In this group a favorable outcome eventually was observed. Second group included 4 patients (2 male and 2 female patients), which died. Using the computer-based mathematic multivariate discriminant analysis the discriminant functions were received for patients of the both outcome groups. Analysis includes 2 steps. Preliminary prognosis is possible at 3 days after first session of the indirect electrochemical blood oxidation. The final prognosis is done at day 7 thereafter. The investigated predictor is simple and demands no complicated tests or equipment, it is practically evaluated.
