He paper presents an analysis of the practice of fans of role-playing games, programs which are available on the respective web-sites. Analysis of documentary sources of web space - one of the modern scientific methods of research of social and cultural activities. In this paper, the authors have used this method to determine the nature and specificity of game activity of two types of role of youth associations - games historical reconstruction and active live-action games. In addition, based on the theoretical and methodological analysis of the game as an activity, the authors have developed a process structure of the organization and classification of the forms of activity of participants role-playing games, the games presented historical reconstruction and active live-action games. Later in the article the functions of each type of game movement, showing the creative nature of the gameplay, intellectually sophisticated, technically advanced, requiring good physical preparation extreme youth games, forming a new gaming culture of urban youth.
