Labour productivity in Russia: negative trends and ways of growth

Improving economic efficiency is the foundation of sustainable economic development, and labor productivity at an enterprise is one of its important indicators. At the same time, labor productivity is one of the sources of economic growth of the country, as well as the basis for the competitiveness of its organizations in the international market. The article conducts a study of the state of labor productivity in Russia and suggests possible ways to improve it. The work also highlights the main developments of the Marxist classical theory of productivity; identifies factors that hinder the increase in productivity in the country; analyzes the effectiveness of the implementation of the completed national project aimed at increasing labor productivity; considers promising government measures in this matter for 2025-2027; and forms potential areas for increasing labor productivity.
