В статье дан обзор ряда идей Гарри Бравермана, Майкла Буравого и Саймона Кларка в свете результатов полуструктурированных интервью, проведенных на крупном промышленном предприятии. Данные подтверждают идею Буравого рассматривать работу как игроподобную деятельность, могущую спонтанно поддерживать сотрудничество рабочих и цеховой администрации, а также производительность труда. Неформальные урегулирования отношений дают возможность рационально организовать управление и отношения на производстве. Попытки подчинить работу и управление детальному бюрократическому контролю могут подорвать сотрудничество и снизить производительность.
