Production of ammunition at the Ulyanovsk cartridge plant during the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945

The article is based on the data of the documents, most of which have not previously been studied. The study sheds light on the heroic work of directorate, workers, and technical personnel of the Ulyanovsk Cartridge plant which during the Great Patriotic War was among the leading enterprises in the system of People’s Commissariat of Ammunition of the SNK USSR. The authors analyze the prerequisites of high final efficiency of the enterprise, which were based on the fast scientific and technical solution of complex production problems, mass labor heroism, skillful statement of socialist competition, and highly effective activity of Stakhanov production teams.
