In prose texts, generalized personal sentences are one of the constructions of actively used one-component sentences, and in these constructions, from the point of view of the law of linguistic economy, certain characteristic features appear. So, in one part of generalized personal sentences in prose texts, the predicate of which is expressed by the verb in the imperative form of the first person, singular or second person, singular, they save on the subject expressed by pronouns. Such sentences mainly include proverbs, sayings, aphorisms, sentences containing advice or instruction. In prose texts, generalized-personal sentences with a predicate in the second person, singular in their form resemble two-part sentences with an omitted subject. If it is impossible to add a subject expressed by a personal pronoun to any syntactic construction, that is, to a sentence, this means that this sentence belongs to generalized personal ones. It should be noted that, from a formal point of view, there are certain similarities between generalized personal sentences with predicates in the third person, plural and indefinite personal sentences. The main common feature of these sentences is the predicate in the third person, plural. In indefinite personal sentences, as the name implies, the person performing the action is indefinite. And generalized personal sentences express an action that applies to everyone at any time and in any place. Taking into account that the law-linguistic economy is not mentioned in Azerbaijani linguistics in generalized personal sentences, we tried to consider these issues in detail in the article.
