Prosecutor’s supervision over the implementation of environmental legislation

The need to empower the prosecutor's office in the field of environmental protection comes from the importance of citizens' compliance with environmental legislation. In this article, the author examines the powers of the prosecutor's office in the environmental sphere. The level of committed environmental crimes and the number of crimes identified by the prosecutor's office for the period from 2020 to 2022 are analyzed. The signs of the prosecutor's office's activity in the environmental sphere are revealed.
