Prosecutor’s supervision: is it an independent branch of law or a legal institution?

This article examines the problem of determining the place of prosecutorial supervision in the system of branches of Russian law. Having critically analyzed the opinions of scientists considering this problem, using tools from the general theory of law, we came to the conclusion that there is no reason to single out prosecutorial supervision as an independent or complex branch of law. We propose to consider prosecutorial supervision as a legal institution within other branches of law.
