Propaganda and culture: literature as a state instrument in China and the USSR 1960-1970s

The article examines the role of literature as an instrument of state propaganda in the Soviet Union and China in the 1960s and 1970s. The use of literature to consolidate ideological positions, mobilize society, form cultural identity and control information is emphasized. The mechanisms of the impact of literary works on the mass consciousness and their significance in the context of political changes and the management of public opinion are analyzed. The study focuses on how literature contributed to the transmission of official ideology and the creation of a positive image of power.
