The article deals with the nature of ecphrasis as a complicated intersemiotic education. There is studied its artistic potential in the creation of a special chronotope of “stream of consciousness”. It presents lexical and stylistic means of representation of spatial-temporal characteristics in the story by Virginia Woolf “Kew Gardens”.
