Space and time as basic categories in the Russian language picture of the world

This article explores the relationship between space and time in the Russian linguistic picture of the world. The author confirms this connection by drawing attention to linguistic facts, especially cases where time is described in terms of space or when space is interpreted through the prism of time. The results of the study can be used in the field of language teaching, intercultural communication, translation and other areas where understanding the peculiarities of the linguistic picture of the world is relevant.
