Educational activities and methodological works of Gaziz Gubaidullin -the first Tatar professor

The end of the XIX - beginning of the XX century is a significant period in the history of Tatar pedagogy. Gaziz Salikhovich Gubaidullin (1887-1937) occupies a special place among the many enlighteners of that time. He left a bright mark in educational activities for the benefit of the Tatar people. G.S. Gubaidullin has done a lot for Azerbaijani and Uzbek pedagogy. His ideas about education, methods of education and training, requirements for conducting scientific research have not lost their relevance a century later. The pedagogical heritage of the educator requires careful scientific research and evaluation from the point of view of modern demands in pedagogy. The article highlights some of the pedagogical thoughts of the famous educator. Its content can fill gaps in the history of the development of Tatar pedagogical thought in particular, in the history of pedagogy and education in Russia as a whole.
