Anti-corruption in the electoral process

The article focuses on topical issues of combating corruption in the electoral process. Based on the analysis of the current legislation and its application, the author concludes that there is a need to strengthen anti-corruption measures in the electoral field. In particular, it is proposed to translate corruption in the field of elections from the category of moderate to severe. As the main means of combating electoral corruption, the author proposes to consider the expansion of public control, the increase of competition in the replacement of civil servants in the system of election commissions, the increase in the requirements for the legal education of election organizers, the anti-corruption normative examination.
