Based on the analysis of the state of crime in the timber industry, the article identifies current trends in environmental crime, explores aspects of scientific and practical problems in the field of legal regulation of forest use and environmental safety. The current crime prevention system in the field of forest management is analyzed, in particular, legislative innovations of recent years are considered, and ways to increase its effectiveness are proposed.
