This article explores the influence of social media on users’ perception and mental health. In todayэs society, the blogosphere has emerged as a platform for discussing various topics, including mental health issues. The paper examines the history of blog development, its role in shaping public opinion, and its impact on individual well-being. Both positive aspects of blogging, such as community support and access to information, and negative aspects, such as trolling and idealization of images, are discussed. Through qualitative analysis of videos and texts from online blogs by young people, this study aims to understand how mental health issues are represented and discussed in the blogosphere. Young people and girls have described both serious struggles and active steps towards self-acceptance. We have divided their personal experiences into two main categories. One category is represented by blogs created to accept their illness and overcome fear. The second category has an altruistic and popular motive. Conclusion dwells upon the fact that the blogosphere as a virtual space of self-expression, including people with mental illness, has a significant potential for study.
