The paper presents the original model of psycho-diagnostic research of self-regulation in the educational and cognitive activity of the senior preschoolers. On the basis of author's understanding of the structure of self-regulation psycho-diagnostic criteria of research of this ability are defined; typological levels of its manifestation at a transition stage from preschool to junior school age are described.
