The article is devoted to the phenomenon of a new word from the point of view of psycholinguistic approach to the analysis of language. Author attempts to analyse psychophysiological preconditions of appearance of the individual newness of a word, as well as to reveal possible features of «sence of newness» which is considered as criterion of component of newness of a word.
