Professional training of law enforcement officers is an integral part of improving their work efficiency. The success of the professional activity of an employee of the internal affairs bodies is largely determined by his ability to manage his emotional state, the ability to mobilize internal reserves to achieve a goal, courage, courage, determination, a high level of physical fitness, confident mastery of fighting techniques and service weapons. Solving these problems requires a variety of motor reactions necessary for the body, fine differentiation and precision of movements, high concentration and distribution of attention, well - developed memory. This study examines the main psychological characteristics associated with the length of service of law enforcement officers. The personal qualities responsible for stability and safety in extreme situations in which a police officer performs his operational and official tasks on a daily basis are considered in detail.
