Psychological characteristics and quality of life of women with breast cancer

The aim of the study was to identify the relationship between the psychological characteristics of women with breast cancer and their quality of life indicators. The study tests the assumption that such psychological characteristics of women with breast cancer as basic personal beliefs, subjective control, optimism-pessimism, resilience, personal helplessness and subjective age of a person are associated with the assessment of quality of life. The quality of life of women with breast cancer is considered as a prognostic indicator of the course of the disease and the effectiveness of treatment. The relationships of such personal parameters as resilience, basic beliefs, personality internality with the subjective assessment of women with breast cancer of their quality of life are revealed.
