Psychological features of attitude towards risk among criminal drug addicts of different age groups

This article presents the results of a study on the features of attitude towards risk and the volitional self-control level among criminal drug addicts of different age groups. It is assumed that drug-dependent offenders have a number of specific personal characteristics: a high level of readiness for risk in behavior combined with a reduced level of volitional self-control that contributes to the implementation of various types of addictive behavior. The article substantiates the practical significance of the research results, which can be successfully used in rehabilitation work with drug addicts of different age categories as well as for the drug addiction prevention.
