This paper considers the psychological characteristics of patients with coronary artery disease who underwent coronary bypass surgery, depending on their commitment to participate in a rehabilitation program. Have been investigated such characteristics as related to the disease, the severity of anxiety and depression, coping strategies. It is established that patients - active participants in rehabilitation programs are less common manifestations of emotional discomfort and asthenic component of anxiety. Also found that patients who initially respond to having the type of disease, with an unbroken significant psychological and social adaptation in the future increasingly involved in multidisciplinary rehabilitation, compliance with treatment. Individuals with a predominance of nonconstructive behavioral coping strategies are less ready for the regular monitoring.
