The article is devoted to the study of the psychological well-being of young people in a changing world, a world of uncertainty. The relevance of the study is justified by the onset of a world of uncertainty and the associated need to establish relevant preconditions for the psychological well-being of young people in modern living conditions. The novelty of the study consists in studying and identifying the relationship of psychological well-being with such characteristics as tolerance to uncertainty, readiness to accept the world of uncertainty: in professional life, in social life, readiness for risk; with a low level of codependency. The sample of the study: young people aged 21-25 years. 91 people (M = 23.8), (women - 59 people, men - 32 people), fourth-year bachelors, masters of Tula State University, beginning teachers of Education centers, technical schools and colleges of the city of Tula. They are ready for uncertainty in professional and social life, ready for risk (in terms of changes). Co-dependent relationships in the family are noted to lead to an aversion to a world of uncertainty. According to the authors, young people with a high level of psychological well-being have a “life transformation” type of subject-object relationship, which implies a willingness to change the reality around them. Such individuals were also found to have a meaningful attitude towards life. In addition, the coincidence of an individual's value system with their actual life is associated with the well-being of the self.
