The relevance of the work is due to the current tendency to “minimize” the object of research in various fields of science, starting with quantum physics, microbiology and ending with linguistics. The poetics of the literary work and personal style of the writer is one of the centers of attention attraction for modern literary scholars. A detail as a multifunctional element of the artistic world is of particular interest in the analysis of visual media. The study of the detail becomes especially relevant in light of the concentration of attention on the smallest elements of reality. In this regard, the detail comes to the forefront of artistic analysis. Particularly significant a detail becomes when creating a psychological portrait and display of artistic reality. G. Boll's works are distinguished by subtle psychologism and understanding of modernity, therefore a detail plays a special role in the narration of the author. In this paper, we consider the main mechanisms of character and the world transmission through details.
