Psychological and pedagogical support of independent work of cadets of a military university

An obligatory part of the educational process in a military university is the independent work of cadets during extracurricular time. An analysis of the state of organization and the implementation of daily independent work by cadets convinced us of the need for systematic psychological and pedagogical support of their activities. The article reveals the essence and content of the concept of “psychological and pedagogical support“. Methodological approaches are defined in relation to the organization of independent work of cadets during extracurricular time. The need for the implementation of psychological and pedagogical support based on the principles that reflect the specifics of the educational process in a military university is revealed, the content of the main stages of support is disclosed. Psychological and pedagogical support as a holistic process includes diagnostics, determination of the goals and content of support, development of a consultation plan, their direct organization, choice of methods and forms of support, control and reflection. The organization of purposeful psychological and pedagogical support for the independent work of cadets involves the continuous activity of the teacher, aimed at preventing difficulties, creating situations of success, achieving a high quality of education, as well as developing and self-development of the cadet’s personality.
