Travellers road notes and diaries as information source into spiritual growth of Kazakh society of modern times

Relying upon various sources the author shows the scientific and historical and cul-tural contribution the national and foreign travelers of the XVIII-th - XIX-th centuries made to exploring ethnography, geography, culture and history of Kazakhstan as one of the largest regions of the Russian Empire. The article focuses on the non-sufficiently researched cultural and anthropological aspects of the ethnics interrelations, on so-cial, political and scientific significance of the results of studying natural resources, social structure and traditional culture of the society.
