The article is devoted to the topic of actualization of philosophical ideas of the recently deceased modern Russian philosopher Nikolai Petrovich Ilyin († 2023), the main theme of his philosophical creativity was the Russian self-consciousness as a philosophical principle in the life-building of the Russian world. To realize this idea, modernity needs to understand the philosophical heritage of Russian philosophers, to read and to accept this heritage as the basis of self-identification of the modern Russian person.
