The article identifies the main problems that hinder the growth of students' cognitive interest in engineering and graphic disciplines. Based on the identified problems, ways to increase students' motivation in the process of studying engineering and graphic disciplines are formulated and substantiated. The article may be useful for teachers who are developing the structure and methodology of conducting classes in engineering and graphic disciplines in order to increase students' motivation in obtaining a high-quality education.
