The paper analyzes clinical parameters and data on hormonal status in patients with cancer of the endometrium concurrent with and without uterine myoma. The patients with endometrial cancer concurrent with uterine myoma were found to have a high incidence of extragenital pathology and its more severity, a higher peripheral serum estrone level and hyperestrogenemia and hyperprolactinemia in the local uterine flow as compared with those without uterine myoma. The activity of the estrogen metabolic enzyme aromatase in endometrial and myometrial tumors and myomatous nodular tissues was also studied, by taking into account the clinical and biochemical parameters. The results serve as a basis for further studies of the clinical, morphological, and biochemical features of concomitant pathology of the endo- and myometrium.
