This article presents the application of general hypoxic test and hypoxic preconditioning used in the department of Cardiovascular Surgery Institute of Cardiology, Tomsk, and their influence on the function of the gastrointestinal tract in 40 cardiac surgery patients with coronary heart disease (CAD). As an assessment of acidogenic function of the stomach, a total hypoxic test, based on a prescribed antisecretory therapy was performed to all patients. Before the main stage of surgery 8 patients underwent hypoxic preconditioning. On the stages of surgery intragastric pH, on the basis of which chalas antisecretory therapy was put on, was measured to all patients. We investigated motor function of the gastrointestinal tract. Application of general hypoxic test made it possible to isolate patients with high risk of erosive-ulcerative complications. Hypoxic preconditioning and the total hypoxic test allow abandoning of the routine appointment of antisecretory drugs.
