Disclosure of creative potential of an individual: problem of conjugation of creativity and rationalism in the educational process

The article focuses upon the question of the nature of man's creative potential. The article argues that the creativity of thinking cannot be irrational, since the intuitive search for the optimality of the decisions is made, the main role is devoted not only to the natural gift of the creative personality but also to the degree of readiness of the intellect to seek rational solutions of problems in an unconventional way. The author argues in support of the idea that creativity and rationality are two sides of a single creative process, and he concludes that modern education should strive to achieve greater harmony in the juxtaposition of these important aspects of the activity of the human intellect.
