The aim of the work was to study the spread of the causative agent of escherichiosis and its pathogenic serotypes in the conditions of cattle and pig breeding in the Krasnodar Territory. The materials for the article were the data of laboratory tests for escherichiosis provided by the SBI "Kropotkin Veterinary Laboratory" from 2008 to 2022. Data analysis was carried out using generally accepted epizootological and statistical methods. As a result, it was found that over the past 15 years, escherichiosis in calves and piglets has been recorded in the laboratory on average in 43.2% and 39.4% of cases, respectively. The epizootic process, despite the downward trend, is characterized by stationarity and periodicity. Jumps of the disease in the form of confirmed laboratory results are recorded every 3-5 years. When identifying the causative agent of escherichiosis, 35 pathogenic serotypes isolated from calves and 32 serotypes from dead piglets were found. The spread and epizootic significance among young cattle had such pathogenic serotypes of escherichia as O117, O26, O20, O33, O55, O18 and O35, and from newborn piglets -O33, O117, O26, O35 and O55. As a result, Escherichia infection is widespread in newborn calves and piglets and requires new and effective control methods.
