The article is devoted to the problems of expansion of innovative activity of Russian institutions of higher education with a glance to the general directions of the Bologna process. The author expounds the experience of the South Ural State University on adoption of the credit-based educational system, specificity of organization of educational process within a new teaching system. In article the author designates the problems and prospects of integration of Russian institutions of higher education into the international education space.
