Method of distances between names of the characters in Russian, English and German national fairy tales about animals

The article is devoted to a spectrum of names of characters in Russian, English and German national fairy tales about animals. The basic names of characters in fairy tales are given, comparison of usage of "common" characters is described, the distance between them is defined with the help of the «method of distances» and their quantitative-qualitative comparison is given.
