Distinction of the concepts "medical error", "accidents", "defect of providing medical care" and "iatrogenia"

In the Russian Federation, there are no normative definitions of such concepts as: medical error, defect in the provision of medical care, accident and iatrogenism. The article reveals these definitions and gives their characteristics. Allocations are considered to be the delineation of data concepts, referring to the opinions of scientists. At the end, the conclusion is argued and the definition of "medical error" is formulated and a number of mandatory features are highlighted.
