In the article, one episode (Chapter 25, § 10) from canonical treatise Zhuang-zi is examined. This description was included in the text created by famous Chinese philosopher Zhuang Zhou of Taoist approach, probably about five centuries after the date the treatise had been finished. It was told in this passage about possibility of restoration of imperial authority in all its glory. Discussions on this problem among peasants who inhabited rural settlements could promote a solution to it, because there were the places where local principles and customs took their shape. Therefore, a common opinion on the revival, strengthening or even improving of Imperial dynastic system of government could be also developed among those people. Erudite, one of the character in this episode, explicates to another one, named Ignoramus, that the opinions of many people being collected together acquire special significance, as well as negligible natural occurrence can give rise to significant consequences. In this passage, the reasoning of the author of the text, composed more than two thousand years ago, formally converges with hypothesis developed in the contemporary political philosophy of the last decades. It argues about the possibilities of an in-depth correlation of the forces of nature with processes directed by efforts of people and operating in all areas of modern society. However, an ancient author used this theory only as a method of demonstration of his ideas, and nothing more. Conformity of opinions on the question of renascence of Celestial Altar, which was the symbol of Heavenly Will, amongst the heterogeneous rural population, would lead to the successful rise of Imperial Grandeur. The author of the article gives his own translation of the paragraph different from those by J. Legg, L. D. Pozdneeva and V.V. Maliavin, and explains these differences in the commentaries.
