The authors describe a pilot set of online activities on the topic Practical Grammar. Tenses aimed at grammar skills training. The set of activities is made on the basis of the two-book manual (theory and workbook) A Grammar of Present-Day English by E.M. Gordon and I.P. Krylova. The online activities become a part of the second-year students training. To create the activities the authors used the social educational software http://educaplay.com/, that has the options of groups' registration, automated check and students' personal rating (one for all the activities done by a student and one for competitions in each activity). Afterwards the student completed the survey and most of them found the online activities useful and interesting. They said that it helped to understand the theory and diversified the educational process. Besides, they had a checkpoint test on grammar at class which together with their overall class work proved the positive influence of online management application. So the students who had completed all the activities on time with maximum scores were the most successful in their tests and with their classwork.
